Tailgate camping turns the back of an Suv into a sheltered room here, with an 8 by 8 foot main body plus a 2.6 foot extension that seals around a rear hatch for a total length of 10.6 feet. Peak height reaches 7.22 feet so adults stand upright inside, and the floor area holds five to nine people for sleeping or shelters a larger group for meals and card games in bad weather. The canopy carries a PU3000mm waterproof rating, high enough for sustained rain rather than a passing shower, and a ventilated door plus mesh windows move air through to limit condensation overnight. The tent also works detached from a vehicle as a standalone shelter, which covers campsites where the car has to park elsewhere. Packed weight is 22.45 pounds. Poles, guy lines and stakes support the structure through all four seasons. Spot clean the fabric with mild soap and dry it fully before packing.
