Ceiling work is the point of this 24-panel set: each 48-inch by 24-inch tile is 0.5 inch thick and drops into a standard grid or glues straight to the ceiling, so one box covers a suspended office grid and a glue-up basement equally well. Twenty-four panels span 190 square feet, a full small room in a single purchase. The molded border frame gives a coffered look without the joinery a timber ceiling would need. PVC does not absorb moisture, so a laundry or kitchen ceiling will not stain or sag along the seams. Panels are light enough to hold overhead one-handed while the other hand sets the clip or runs a bead of adhesive, and they wipe down with a damp cloth.
