The L-shaped layout is what separates this from a straight slide. The 51 inch slide turns rather than running in a line, which fits it against a wall or into a corner where a straight run would block the floor, and the bend creates a hiding spot underneath that most toddlers discover within a minute of setup. Six things happen on the same 27 by 57 by 33.5 inch frame: a telescope, a climber, the slide, a basketball hoop, that hiding spot, and storage. The slide surface is engineered in three stages rather than one drop. An acceleration zone gets the descent going, a deceleration zone bleeds off speed partway down, and a glide buffer area at the bottom brings a child to a comfortable stop instead of onto the floor. The slide is widened to 12.5 inches so there is room to sit squarely. Climbing back up happens on enclosed steps with non-slip surfaces and easy-grip handrails, and a 14 by 11 inch waiting area at the top with rounded edges gives somewhere to pause before going down. Handrails 2.5 inches high border that platform. Underneath it all, a triangle-shaped structure holds the frame steady, and the 10 by 4 inch pedals give a solid footing on the way up. It carries up to 110 lbs, suits ages 1 to 3, and is made from HDPE certified to CPSIA and ASTM. It weighs 20 pounds, comes with a basketball and pump, and is available in Pink with white, Yellow green and white, or Gray with white.
