Twenty-two inches wide is the point of this desk: it slots into a dorm alcove, a hallway nook or the end of a bedroom where a full-size top will not go. One section of the surface stays fixed for steady support while the adjustable section moves between 27 and 38.5 inches, so a laptop can rise to standing height without disturbing the monitor beside it. Underneath, a bottom shelf holds a tower, printer or stack of books, keeping the small footprint from turning into clutter. An integrated footrest gives your feet a place to shift during long standing stretches. Oak-toned engineered wood wipes clean, and at 20.5 lbs the whole desk can be repositioned by one person.
