Sixty inches of vertical frame stand over a compact 31 by 14 inch footprint, so this planter delivers climbing height without taking over a patio corner. Two side trellises and a hanging roof give vines a path upward and baskets a place to hook, while the planter box below measures 26 by 12.5 by 9.5 inches and holds 1.5 cubic feet of soil across a 25 by 12 inch interior. Waterproof paint over natural fir keeps rain out of the grain, and the surface is sanded free of splinters. Drainage holes and a bottom gap move water through, and the bottom panels detach to open the box to the ground for longer roots. At 15 pounds it is one of the lighter tall frames to carry into place.
