Each side of this bed rail lifts straight up and down on its own, so it clears a nightstand that a swing-down rail would hit, and a double lock stops a child from releasing it. The frame is steel wrapped in oxford fabric with a see-through mesh panel printed with a cartoon pattern, measuring 77 inches long and 10 inches deep, with the top edge adjustable from 28.5 to 40 inches above the floor. A bottom bar adjusts through 24 heights over a 1.5 to 13 inch span to sit tight against mattresses of different thickness, leaving no gap, and it is wrapped in anti-collision sponge.
